It is traditionally believed that freezing food products leads to their loss of their beneficial properties.
However, certain types of food are much healthier when frozen.
British nutritionist Rhiannon Lambert has spoken about which foods are recommended to be pre-cooked, as reported by BBnews .
According to the expert, this applies in particular to red meat and poultry.
Take note
Lambert explained: "Fish becomes healthier after it's defrosted because the omega-3 fatty acids are released in that environment."
These microelements, in turn, provide the body with strong immunity and blood vessels free of cholesterol plaques.
This includes broccoli, corn, and edamame beans.
Thus, in particular, frozen broccoli can "boast" a large amount of vitamin B2. It promotes the formation of red blood cells and antibodies needed for hematopoiesis.
