A cardiologist has listed foods that should be included in the diet of hypertensive patients.
Blood pressure is influenced by a number of factors, including diet.
In an interview with Gazeta.Ru , cardiologist Denis Sokolov said that to normalize blood pressure, the diet should include spinach, broccoli, dark chocolate, garlic, and brown rice.
The doctor explained that foods that contain a lot of potassium and fiber are useful for hypertensive patients.
They remove excess sodium from the body and strengthen the health of blood vessels.
Sokolov emphasized that salt accumulation is considered the main cause of high blood pressure. Sodium promotes fluid retention in the body, which leads to the development of hypertension.
In this context, the cardiologist also added fruits (bananas, oranges), nuts and seeds, which are valuable for their fat and magnesium content, to the healthy foods.
Low-fat dairy products also help maintain blood pressure at normal levels.
