Cosmetologist Natalia Shorina revealed to Russian women the risks of shaving their faces.
Shaving off vellus hair can cause coarser, darker hair to grow back, she says.
Shorina reminded that men's skin, unlike women's, is less sensitive to shaving. This is reported by Lenta.ru .
She explained that the smooth effect lasts only a few days. Then the woman has to shave again. This creates a vicious circle with no apparent benefit.
The beautician also warned that shaving can cause cuts, scars and skin infections.
Women's skin becomes more sensitive to the sun, pigmentation, and ingrown hairs can cause scars.
Shorina added that shaving is not recommended for women with rosacea.
It can worsen the skin condition and lead to new vascular problems.
The dangerous impact on the delicate female facial skin will contribute to the growth of new vessels and worsen its condition.
