The researchers explained: “We are talking about a drug synthesized on the basis of nucleic acids,” as reported in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry .
It is emphasized that this drug prevents metastases from appearing in the body after the primary tumor has been removed.

Experts have noted that almost all modern antitumor drugs fight primary cancerous neoplasms.
Such drugs are often unable to combat cancerous tissue that has already spread throughout the body.
The innovation, in turn, destroys all those cells that appear after the removal of the primary tumor.
According to scientists, the new drug is much more effective than chemotherapy.
