Many summer residents who grow raspberries on their plots dream of dealing with the growth of the bush.
Let's figure out how you can help the berry bush without resorting to concreting and asphalting.
Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, scientist agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , we figure out which plants can help with this.
What to plant next to raspberries
There is a hybrid of sorrel and spinach called Uteusha spinach. It is not as sour as sorrel because it does not contain acid.
Moreover, the hybrid is an ultra-early plant and is one of the first to provide vitamin-rich greens to the table.
And its advantages do not end there. Spinach Uteusha grows in one place for up to 15 years, which is twice the lifespan of raspberry.
At the same time, the plant does not spread by self-seeding, therefore, it is perfect as an obstacle to the growth of berries.
All the care this spinach will require from you is watering it at the same time as the raspberries.
