Many summer residents get upset when their seedlings fail to grow.
In fact, many gardeners make typical mistakes that prevent plants from developing.
Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , we figure out what needs to be done to ensure that pepper seedlings grow well.
How to Grow Peppers
Seeds may not germinate for a number of reasons, for example, if you initially had defective seed material at your disposal.
Also, keep in mind that peppers need 3-4 weeks to sprout. However, if after this period the plants have not started growing, the reasons may be as follows.
Incorrect pre-sowing treatment. For example, if you immerse seeds in an overly concentrated solution of potassium permanganate, they will simply die.
It is also dangerous to leave any solution residue on the seeds, which is why they need to be thoroughly rinsed after soaking.
It is also important to avoid over-watering the seeds. Therefore, it is not recommended to pour water over them: it is better to hold them between pieces of a damp napkin or cloth.
