Sometimes summer residents are faced with the fact that raspberries begin to grow strongly and literally take over the plot.

But this problem can be solved with the help of several plants.

Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about this in more detail.

What plants to plant

You can prevent raspberry bushes from growing too large by planting some plants nearby.

Sorrel will cope with this task well. Thanks to the secretion of special substances, it will not allow raspberries to take over more territory.

Raspberries will not actively spread across the area if they are planted next to beans.

It releases nitrogen into the soil. Because of this, raspberries will grow leaves rather than develop roots. You can also "tame" raspberry bushes with a broom.

Other methods

You can also stop the raspberry from growing by other methods. To do this, you need to choose the right planting location.

If you place raspberries near a fence, it will not be so easy for the plant to take over the territory.

You can also make a kind of barrier around the raspberries. For this, you can use slate, plastic or other objects.

Earlier we talked about what plants can be planted in a garden bed after onions.
