If pale brown spots appear on the seedlings, it means that the seedlings are affected by gray mold.
Sometimes gardeners are so protective of their plants that they pour more water than necessary. This is a direct path to the appearance of gray mold.
In plants that are in too wet soil, pale brown spots may be covered with pink fluff, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert at the online publication TUT NOVOSTI and agronomist.
If a problem has arisen, it needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Don't wait until the plants die.
You can combat the problem using either purchased products or folk remedies.
Treatment of diseased seedlings should be started immediately. Seedlings should be treated 4 times (every 10 days) with a fungicide containing copper.
There are several options:
- Bordeaux mixture;
- Copper sulfate;
- Copper oxychloride;
- "Kuprolux".
Garlic infusion can be used against gray mold. About 30 g of crushed cloves should be poured with water and left for two days.
