Dieffenbachia is distinguished by its beautiful, luxurious leaves.
However, when caring for this seemingly unpretentious plant, it is important to follow some rules.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about this in more detail.
Lack of moisture
This plant likes abundant watering. If the flower soil dries out, it can have a negative effect on the roots.
Therefore, in the summer, you need to water the dieffenbachia once every two or three days.
With the onset of cold weather, the frequency of watering can be reduced.
In addition, do not forget to spray the plant.
You also need to make sure that the air around the flower is humid. For example, you can put a container of water nearby.
In this case, only filtered or settled water should be used to water the plant.
Drafts and temperature changes
Dieffenbachia is a tropical plant.
That is why it does not react well to temperature changes and drafts.
Under such conditions, the plant's leaves may begin to fall off.
Therefore, before airing the room, it is advisable to ensure that cold air does not reach the room.
Lack of lighting
This plant does not tolerate direct sunlight. However, it can feel great in partial shade.
The best option in this case would be to place the flower at a distance of one or two meters from the window.
Moreover, in winter, when the light intensity decreases, you can place the plant a little closer to the window.
