Strawberries are demanding in terms of fertilizing. If there is a lack of nutrients, the harvest will be poor.
In spring, garden strawberries must be fed with ash.
This simple fertilizer contains many useful elements for strawberries, says the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
Ash contains both potassium and phosphorus. The product obtained after burning potato tops, sunflower and grape ash is valued first and foremost.
In addition, it is effective to use ash from coniferous wood, birch, wheat and rye straw.
You can make a valuable infusion from it. First, fill the bucket with ash by 1/3. Then fill it with hot water to the brim and leave for two days.
After this, the infusion must be filtered and used for root application or spraying.
Earlier we talked about which ash is better to use in the garden – fresh or aged.
