Hydrangea is famous for its unrivaled beauty and stunning aroma.
To fully realize the potential of this plant, either very suitable soil or fertilizer is needed.
Expert of the online publication "TUT NOVOSTI", agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told in more detail about an effective fertilizer for hydrangea.
You need to feed the hydrangea before the vegetation period begins. This way the plant will “wake up” faster and start growing actively.
This can be done at the end of March – beginning of April, when the snow has not yet completely melted. During this period, it is necessary to add azofoska.
The granules should be scattered around the tree trunk – 25-30 g (1.5-2 tbsp) per plant.
Another important fertilizer is applied after the young leaves have expanded about halfway.
For this, a mixture of the following components is prepared:
- 10 l of water;
- 30 g potassium sulfate;
- 50 g superphosphate;
- 30 g ammonium nitrate.
The day before application, the hydrangea should be watered with regular water. It is important that the fertilizer gets into moist soil.
This solution should be used to fertilize hydrangea 2-3 times. The interval between fertilizing is 12-14 days.
