Sometimes summer residents and gardeners encounter a phenomenon where the thuja begins to turn brown and yellow without any particular reason.
However, if you figure out what the problem is, the tree can still be saved.

Why does thuja turn yellow?
Let's start with the fact that if the tree starts to turn yellow immediately after planting or replanting, this indicates that you have chosen the wrong place for it.
Thuja does not like the following conditions:
- dense and peaty soils;
- close occurrence of groundwater;
- drafts.
The second factor that can cause thuja to dry out in the summer is a violation of watering. Both young and adult thuja trees love sprinkling, so in the heat the plant must be watered.
The third reason is the lack of pruning. If after wintering you did not get rid of old and dry branches, then in summer the thuja may begin to dry out.
The fourth factor is a lack of nutrients. If the tree turns yellow, it may lack iron and phosphorus, and in June it is recommended to apply fertilizer containing potassium.
