The quality of the beet crop is determined not only by the size, but also by the taste of the root crops.
The size may amaze, but the taste can be quite disappointing. Then there is no joy from the "heroic" beetroot.
When the size pleases and the taste is sweeter than honey, then summer residents consider the harvest a success.
One of the fertilizers is designed to improve the taste of the fruit. It is applied closer to harvesting, when the beets are almost ripe.
There is nothing complicated. The product is prepared in a matter of minutes right on the site. Dissolve 1 tbsp. (about 20 g) of table salt in 10 liters of water.
This product is used to water the plantings - 5 liters per 1 sq. m of plantings. The popular folk method has already proven its effectiveness, but it is not recommended to use the solution too often.
Two or three times per season will be enough. Such feeding helps to combat sodium deficiency. This problem is indicated by reddening of the leaves.

Throughout the season, beets need to be periodically loosened. Then the root crops will grow juicy and healthy.
In addition, it is worth considering that beets do not like acidic soil. They need something within 6.0 Ph, maybe a little higher. In rotten soil, beets are affected by scab.
