Quite often, summer residents and gardeners are faced with yellowing cucumbers.
However, this does not mean that the plant cannot be saved in any way.
There are 3 simple ways to restore fruiting and enjoy the harvest of crispy fruits again.
How to save yellowed cucumbers
If you notice that the plants are turning yellow and their fruiting is deteriorating, then you should use the following tricks.
First, find the still green and strong shoots on the bushes. Remove all yellowed and wilted leaves from them.
After the operation has been completed, the vines should be carefully placed on the ground and watered generously with settled water, and after 2 days, compost or some other organic fertilizer should be added.
The next step that needs to be taken after the appearance of new ovaries and leaves is the transition to constant watering and feeding of cucumbers.
The main thing to remember is that to achieve success, water the plants only with settled water. It is recommended to feed with an infusion prepared from 500 grams of chicken manure added to 10 liters of water and infused for a week. Do not forget to strain and dilute 1:5.
The last step is to protect the plants from the cold. For this purpose, cucumbers are covered with polyethylene film in August and September.
