There will be nowhere to put the harvest: here's what to do with tomatoes in August

August is a special period for tomatoes, when they begin to ripen both in the greenhouse and in open ground.

In order for the fruits to ripen faster, experienced gardeners resort to simple tricks.

Firstly, many gardeners stop caring for their plants after they have harvested their first crop, causing the tomatoes to grow to the point of becoming a jungle.

However, if you continue to remove the stepsons, you can get a harvest of fruits not only from the first 3-4 brushes, but also from the top 1-2.

For the same purpose, it is necessary to pinch the growth point and remove the leaves that cover the brushes from the sun. In the second case, get rid of all the leaves that grow inside the bush and also intersect with each other.

Remember the main rule: do not remove all the extra leaves in one day, otherwise the plant will experience stress.

When the number of ovaries grows to 6-7, then you can trim the very top of the bush.

There is also a subtlety here that is worth following. It is recommended to trim in the morning so that all the wounds that have formed have time to dry out.
