Not all plants in a summer cottage can be useful.
Some of them, on the contrary, can only cause harm and become a complete problem for summer residents.
Agricultural scientist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared the details.
What is not recommended to plant
Experienced gardeners try not to plant boxwood on their plots. This plant can grow very quickly, crowding out other crops.
This shrub also attracts insects, including the boxwood moth.
Planting juniper can cause some harm to the area.
This plant is “attacked” by various fungal infections, which can spread to other crops.
Therefore, you will have to frequently use special processing products.
Planting barberry can also cause trouble for summer residents. This plant has thorns, and therefore it will be difficult to care for crops that grow next to it.
Caution should be exercised when planting Leyland cypress.
This tree grows quickly and can block light, so it will need to be monitored and pruned regularly.
Earlier we told you how you shouldn’t prune a cherry tree so as not to lose the harvest.
