Moles make their presence known in autumn and spring.
When life at the dacha dies down, the "underground mafia" wakes up. These animals ruin the area. It is especially offensive when it comes to a specially grown lawn.
But there is a way to combat these pests. And it does not consist of new-fangled sound scares.
The method is based on the sound effect, but is much cheaper.
You will need reinforcement that is 150 cm high and no thicker than 1 cm. It needs to be driven 50 cm into the ground. It is better to drive it into the molehill itself.
Something rattling needs to be attached to the reinforcement. For example, a beer can.
Even a light wind will create a sound that will scare away moles.
The method is ideal because it costs pennies and does not damage the lawn at all.
This method can be used at any time of year and in any place. The effect is always the same - moles leave the area alone.
The operating principle is very simple: the wind blows, the can rattles, and then the sound travels through the reinforcement into the ground.
Moles have very well developed hearing, so they can hear that there is some danger on the surface.
