Sowing carrots without thinning: two tricks will eliminate the need to “crawl” next to the beds

Carrots, like many other garden crops, are planted in the spring.

This is a fairly easy-to-grow vegetable that many summer residents sow.

The sowing process itself deserves special attention. It can be done in such a way that you will not have to thin out the seedlings later.

Expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh revealed two clever methods.

Landing marker

There are specially made devices, but you can make a garden marker yourself.

To do this, take a board to which sticks are attached. The distance between rows should be 15 cm, and in the row itself - 7 cm.

You can make versions for 15 holes, 18 or 21. The main thing is that it is convenient to use.

Tray

This option is even simpler, because you only need an egg carton, no crafting required.

It is better to use a plastic tray for this purpose. A paper one is not suitable.

The principle of use is the same as with the landing marker.

Earlier we talked about why radishes take a long time to sprout after sowing.
