Why are shrews dangerous?
Shrews feed on various insects, helping to “cleanse” the garden or vegetable garden from pests.
But at the same time, they can also harm plants.
The underground passages that these rodents dig can damage the root system of plants. They can also gnaw through root crops.
An effective method of struggle
Shrews are sensitive to strong odors and noise.
Therefore, cow dung, fish and other substances with unpleasant and strong odors can be placed in their holes.
You can also put a rag soaked in ammonia into their hole. Then lightly sprinkle it with earth.
