We are talking about the strawberry "Gigantella Maxim" or simply "Maxim", as it is popularly called.
The expert of the online publication “TUT NOVOSTI”, agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , told more about the variety.
The choice of gardeners is primarily influenced by the yield. In this regard, "Gigantella Maxim" is in perfect order.
In the worst case, the bush produces 1.5-1.8 kg of berries. If all growing conditions are met, the yield increases to 3 kg per plant.
The berries are impressive in size and weight – 105 g and 9 cm in diameter. But closer to August, the weight decreases to 85 g. Thus, one bush produces about 30-40 berries per season.
As for the taste, there are notes of pineapple. The aroma is subtle, strawberry. The berries can be eaten fresh or deep frozen.
Another unique feature of this variety is that the bushes can grow in the same soil for up to 8 years. Other varieties are usually grown in one place for no more than 3-4 years.
