Cold weather outside can be a challenge for indoor plants, as they may suffer from a lack of light and temperature fluctuations.
Moreover, sometimes a flower can freeze on the windowsill, which will ultimately lead to its death.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how to save and revive a freezing plant.
You can tell that a plant is frozen by a number of signs.
In this case, its leaves may begin to turn black or yellow, and then gradually fall off.
Therefore, to save the flower, the first thing to do is to move it to a fairly warm place.
However, it is worth making sure that the temperature difference is not too strong.
Otherwise, the plant may die, because in this case the leaves will require more moisture, and the damaged roots will not be able to provide it.
If the flower has been standing in the cold, then first you just need to put it in the room for a couple of hours.
Afterwards, you need to pour slightly warm water into the basin and place the pot there.
The plant can be covered with a plastic bag to create the effect of a kind of greenhouse.
In addition, the plant may freeze due to so-called cold drying.
This happens if you water the flower with too cold water.
In this case, the roots will not absorb moisture, but the above-ground part will evaporate it.
As a result, the flower can become quite dehydrated.
Therefore, in this situation, it is worth simply watering the plant with warm, settled water for some time. Moreover, the watering should be abundant.
