Getting a good harvest of tasty and juicy apples is not so easy.
To do this, you need to put in a lot of effort and carefully care for the plant, including fertilizing it correctly.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained what kind of fertilizer will help improve the taste of apples and increase their size.
What should be taken into account
It is important to take into account that fertilizers should be applied to the crown projection, since there may be few absorbing roots in the trunk circle.
The projection of the crown depends on the age of the tree. If it is one to two years old, then its approximate diameter will be about two meters.
After that, you need to count half a meter for each year.
Proper feeding
In the spring, superphosphate can be added. About 60 grams of this product will be required per square meter of crown projection.
You can also add 30 grams of potassium sulfate.
There is another effective fertilizer that not only helps fight pests, but also increases the size of apples.
For this purpose, you can use urea. To prepare a solution, you need to add 20 grams of this product to ten liters of water.
Just use it carefully so as not to burn the leaves.
