Just first dilute the ammonia with water in a ratio of one to ten.
For greater effectiveness, you can add a couple of drops of liquid soap to the product.
You can also use a syringe to pour ammonia into cracks and places where rodents often appear.
In addition, other sharp and strong odors can scare away mice and rats.
For example, these could be fir essential oils or Corvalol.
