Onions are not a difficult crop to grow.

However, there are also frequent cases when the future harvest begins to rot right in the garden.

Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, scientist agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , we figure out how to prevent the death of onions.

How to Grow Onions

Onions rot because they are often overfed during the period of active fruit development. In addition, gardeners often harvest too late, allowing the onions to overripen.

The Chinese, who reap rich harvests year after year, have virtually no such problems.

This is because farmers in China resort to a clever method of planting vegetables in specially prepared ridges.

To do this, prepare a bed in a special way, making furrows and pouring the excess to the side, which creates an improvised mound. The upper part of the ridge will serve as a bed for the onions.

The seeds should be planted every 10-12 cm, without pressing the sets into the ground.
