The harvest of peppers directly depends on the correct watering of these vegetables.
However, if the crop does not have enough water, it grows more slowly and begins to bloom later.
Together with the expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, scientist agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , we figure out how to prevent crop loss.
Proper watering of peppers
At the seedling stage, after planting the latter in the soil, the water consumption is about half a liter per 1 bush. However, as the plants grow, the need for moisture increases proportionally, and adult peppers already require one and a half liters of water.
The irrigation system looks like this. It depends primarily on what kind of weather is outside.
If a period of drought has come, the plants are watered in the morning and evening. Keep in mind that the amount of water should also be increased and at least 3 liters of water should be poured under each bush.
If the weather is cloudy, then the bushes can be watered only once every 2-3 days. Moreover, if it gets cold and the thermometer drops below 15 degrees Celsius, you can completely refuse watering until the weather returns to normal.
