Every gardener from time to time faces the problem of slugs appearing in the garden.
These slow and seemingly harmless creatures do not seem too dangerous, but in fact they can seriously damage crops.
How to drive away slugs? This question was answered by agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh.
According to the expert, you should use one very simple but effective trick.
Useful trick
First, destroy all the weeds along your greenhouses. These are the places where slugs like to settle and breed. Burn the pulled out weeds outside the area.
Next, treat the beds, including those in greenhouses, with tobacco dust and ash. Make sure that no plant debris remains anywhere.
You can also place cucumber slices generously seasoned with ammonia near the greenhouses.
Slugs will flock to such a treat, but will very quickly die, poisoned by ammonia.
