Spring is just around the corner – a time when many pests, including slugs and snails, begin to become active.
If you don’t get rid of them, they can later harm the crops and spoil the harvest of vegetables and berries.
An expert of the MOS SMI portal, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh will tell you how to eliminate snails and slugs.
Hand picking
This method is the most effective. To do this, you just need to go to the site in the evening and collect the pests in a bag. Then all that remains is to take them outside the site.
Eggshells or coffee grounds
Slugs and snails do not like to crawl on abrasive surfaces. That is why you can sprinkle the places near plants with these products.
Repellents
If you are not a fan of chemicals, you can make an effective repellent from organic components. To do this, you need to chop the garlic, pour boiling water over it and leave for a couple of hours. Then you just need to spray the soil.
By using these methods, you can scare away pests and enjoy their absence.
