First, wait for the first sprouts of goutweed to appear. Then cultivate the area.
To do this, trim the shoots of goutweed, then mulch it. As mulch, you should choose dense dark spunboard or cardboard.
In this case, it is better to give preference to air-impermeable spunboard, which is guaranteed not to allow the goutweed to photosynthesize and “breathe”.
