Experienced gardeners buy seeds of their favorite plants in winter, without waiting for them to be taken by faster gardeners.

There are other reasons why seeds are purchased in January-February. Some varieties need to be sown for seedlings soon, and you can also calmly make a flowerbed plan.

Cost also plays a significant role. Until the season starts, prices are more or less reasonable.

Expert of the online publication "TUT NOVOSTI", agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about popular ornamental plants among flower growers.

Marigolds have long been a classic, but some varieties have not yet become boring for summer residents. Some gardeners have never grown them, and in vain.

"Strawberry Blonde"

A chameleon variety that changes color as the flowers bloom. Therefore, there is one plant, but several shades.

"Fireball"

Another chameleon variety, but taller. These marigolds are on average 30 cm taller than the Strawberry Blonde.

Verbena bonariensis

If you don’t have a heart for marigolds, you can consider this airy, lilac-colored annual.

Verbena bonariensis gives a flower garden a natural, organic style.

Flowers for the balcony

City dwellers want to have a place nearby where they can at least touch nature a little. A flower bed on the balcony is the ideal solution.

To implement this idea, you can use ampelous petunia, tree heliotrope or double nasturtium.

Lavender is also a universal option. It can be grown both in a flowerbed and in an apartment. The plant is not only beautiful, but also smells delicious.

Earlier we told you about a secret ingredient that needs to be added to the water for watering orchids. The sick plant will instantly turn green.
