Double your harvest with a simple action in the first month of autumn.

In September, currants and other plants cannot be left unattended.

First of all, they need pruning and also fertilizing. Before the frosts, favorable conditions for this are created.

If the bushes were mulched in the spring, the mulch should be removed and the soil dug to a depth of 10–12 cm. But it is important not to damage the root system.

During digging, superphosphate is added. 1–2 tablespoons of the product are allocated per plant. It is distributed around the trunk circle and embedded to a depth of 7–10 cm.

Alternatively, you can use wood ash - one glass per adult plant.

After this, the bushes can be watered generously and a new layer of mulch can be laid, which will protect the roots from frost.

Note

If humus is used as a mulch layer, part of it can be incorporated into the soil, and the other part can be laid as mulch.
