The end of August and September are considered a favorable period for fighting gastropods in the garden.
These pests are omnivorous and have learned to adapt to any weather conditions.
There are many options for fighting slugs in the dacha arsenal. Even folk remedies have proven their effectiveness.
For example, ammonia, which some gardeners use for fertilizing (usually in the spring), is also used against these pests.
To create a working solution, take 100 ml of ammonia per bucket of water, mix and water. If the slugs are sitting right on the plants, you can pour it on them from a watering can.
If there are no pests, but they appear at a certain time, for example, at night, which is not uncommon, then the plants are still watered. The soil is also irrigated. Watering is done once a week.
Note
To minimize the risk of slugs appearing on the site, you should remove plant debris from the beds immediately after weeding.
Also, you shouldn't accumulate various garbage on the site. For example, slugs love to hide under damp rotten boards.
