How to water cucumbers in hot weather
The first trick is that root watering is more suitable for cucumbers. When watering the leaves, up to 70% of the moisture can be lost, while root watering allows 80% of the water to reach the roots of the plant.
Moreover, even in extreme heat, 1 root watering every 3-4 days is sufficient.
The second trick is to use mulch, which prevents moisture from evaporating from the soil. The best layer to use is hay or straw about 15 cm thick.
The third trick is to use fertilizer. The most universal and effective is considered to be a solution made on the basis of yeast.
Dissolve 10 grams of yeast in 1 liter of warm water, let it stand for 2-3 hours, and then dilute the resulting solution with water in a ratio of 1:10. Half a liter of the resulting fertilizer will be enough for each bush.
