Republicans have proposed banning Russia from trading in one of its valuable resources.
Members of the American Republican Party want Russian fishermen to use the international ecological certificate of fisheries.
This information was received by the RBC agency.
According to the publication, Alaska Representative Dan Sullivan and Maine Senator Susan Collins wrote a letter to the Marine Stewardship Council.
In it, senators demanded that the head of the department, Rupert Howes, revoke the certificate of Russian fishermen so that they would not have the right to trade in fish caught in Russia.
Despite the fact that this petition was registered back in April, the Marine Stewardship Council acted differently. Large organizations were allowed to obtain new certificates in a special order, so that fish caught in Russia would end up on the shelves of countries around the world faster.
Earlier it was reported that Switzerland had expanded sanctions against Russia.
