The State Duma responded to the call for Russians to “tighten their belts” and avoid unnecessary spending.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Artem Kiryanov shared his opinion.
In a conversation with Lenta.ru , the parliamentarian commented on the words of Daria Kopylova, associate professor of the Department of Innovative and Digital Technologies at Synergy University.
Kiryanov stressed that there cannot be any general recommendations to “tighten our belts.”
He explained that people live differently in Russia. There are a number of industries where wage growth is recorded.
As an example, he cited specialists who are working to ensure the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
Another example is trade and logistics. These areas are experiencing an upswing against the backdrop of active development of marketplaces.
The deputy believes that there is no need to give recommendations on “tightening belts,” but it is necessary to remind people about a responsible approach to obtaining loans.
The interest rates are currently quite high, so it is worth purchasing only really necessary things in this way, the State Duma member emphasized.
