Lawyer Ilya Rusyaev commented on three potential scenarios in which Tatyana Bakalchuk would lose control over Wildberries.
He explained that the founder of the marketplace could lose part of her stake in the company in the event of a divorce from her husband Vladislav.
In an interview with NEWS.ru, Rusyaev explained that when dividing part of the property, each of the spouses has the right to claim their share.
He also added that the divorce would weaken Bakalchuk’s position in business management.
The lawyer also said that the second scenario is possible in the event of a conflict of interest within the new company, RVB LLC.
According to the law, all participants of the LLC have the right to manage the company. Each of them can be removed from managing the company.
According to the expert, the third scenario is associated with a potential violation of antitrust legislation.
If the FAS determines that the merger of Wildberries and Russ restricts competition in the market, the company will be required to reorganize or terminate the contract.
In this case, Tatyana Bakalchuk may be removed from management.
