Experts from the analytical agency Gruzdev Analyze reported that more counterfeits have appeared on the Russian auto parts market.
As analysts noted, it is for this reason that Russians have begun to frequently use expensive repairs.
Gruzdev Analyze specialists added: “In 2024, about 37 percent of our citizens encountered counterfeits in the car market,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
In most cases, counterfeit products are found among oils and fuels and lubricants (about 54 percent).
Risk of counterfeiting
According to analysts, last year 31 Russians complained about the presence of counterfeit technical fluids in auto parts.
In addition, it is reported that about 35 percent of counterfeit products are filters. Last year, this figure was 15 percent.
As for spark plugs, in this case counterfeits are observed in 33 percent of products (last year – 23 percent).
Gruzdev Analyze experts have noted that criminals are usually quite effective in replacing original products with counterfeit ones.
