The State Duma of the Russian Federation will support the proposal to increase salaries for public sector employees in the social sphere.
This was reported by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
She noted that it is necessary to achieve the level of wages specified in the May decrees of Russian President Vladimir Putin, writes Lenta.ru
The government has proposed indexing salaries for public sector employees in the social sector in 2025.
The 13.2 percent increase will affect doctors, health workers, teachers, university professors, scientists and social workers.
Bessarab emphasized that the State Duma’s support is conditioned by the social protection of the most in-demand specialists today.
She also recalled that in the regions, medical personnel and doctors should receive wages in the ratio of 200 percent of the average wage, and teachers - 100 percent.
