The State Duma has put forward a proposal regarding the category of socially significant goods.
According to parliamentarians, deliberate price increases on certain products should be strictly punished.
The corresponding draft law was published in the State Duma database .
It is noted that this initiative was proposed by State Duma deputies from the LDPR party.
Parliamentarians led by the chairman of the Duma Committee on Social Policy, Yaroslav Nilov, propose introducing administrative liability for those who deliberately inflate prices on socially significant goods.
Let us remind you that this category includes:
- meat;
- fish;
- milk;
- chicken eggs;
- granulated sugar;
- table salt and other commodity items.
As an example, Nilov recalled the crisis that Russia had previously faced due to the unjustified increase in egg prices.
The parliamentarian stressed the importance of ensuring that no one has the desire to profit at the expense of ordinary citizens. And administrative liability is designed to make it unprofitable for producers to raise prices.
