From January 1, 2025, new rules will come into force in Russia that concern standard tax deductions for children.
State Duma deputy and member of the Budget and Taxes Committee Nikita Chaplin spoke about this.
He shared details of the innovations in an interview with RT .
According to him, these changes will affect the size and procedure for receiving tax deductions for parents.
The parliamentarian revealed the main innovations in the deduction rules.
He indicated that the deduction amounts would be increased and the procedures for obtaining them would be simplified.
In addition, starting in 2025, the procedure for paying the difference for larger deductions will change.
The deduction for the second child will also increase to 2.8 thousand rubles, for the third and subsequent children – to 6 thousand rubles.
The deduction for children with disabilities will also change, increasing by 6 thousand rubles for guardians.
From 2025, deductions will be available for incomes up to 450 thousand rubles per year, instead of the current 350 thousand rubles.
There is also no need to submit an application for a deduction if the employer has all the necessary information about the children.
