Alexander Bastrykin's department has taken on the task of creating a plan to replace labor migrants with Russians.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation's press service reported more details about the initiative on its Telegram channel.
Problems related to migrants became especially acute in Russia in 2024.
Now the State Duma and a number of departments are working to resolve the issue. The Investigative Committee has not stood aside.
The agency proposed a number of measures to improve migration legislation.
“Formulate a roadmap for replacing labor migrants with Russians, providing them with a decent level of social and labor guarantees,” says one of the Investigative Committee’s initiatives.
The majority of migrants are heading to Moscow and the Moscow region, where they are offered fairly high wages.
The media found out that foreigners and Russians have practically equalized salaries in many areas. First of all, these are areas where piecework wages are used.
