Commercial bank Garant-Invest, which occupied 168th place in the Russian banking system, lost its license.
By order of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the license for banking operations and professional activities in the securities market has been revoked.
The Bank of Russia’s statement states that the corresponding decision was made in accordance with Russian law due to a number of violations identified in the activities of Garant-Invest.
The bank, it is emphasized, violated federal banking laws.
During an unscheduled inspection of the valuables storage facility of KB Garant-Invest, a major shortage was discovered.
The regulator believes that the activities of Garant-Invest threaten the interests of creditors and investors.
It turned out that the bank carried out transactions that had signs of illegal activity.
The Bank of Russia has decided to revoke the license of Garant-Invest Bank and will contact law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
