It has become known about the restrictions that Taiwan has resorted to in relation to Russia.

The island will no longer supply its own production machines to the Russian Federation.

This was reported on the official website of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs.

According to the publication, until recently the island was among the top five leaders in machine tool deliveries to Russia.

However, it was determined that the products were dual-use items, and Taiwan's financial department decided to take action.

As a result, the island’s Ministry of Economy website clarifies, the volume of Chinese machine tool exports to Russia has fallen to zero.

The department also clarified that fines for violating restrictive measures have been increased 15 times. Now companies found to be evading sanctions will be required to pay 1 million yuan.

It is noted that Taiwan expanded the restrictions applicable to high-tech products back in December 2023. The list includes 45 items and also applies to Belarus.
