Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov reported that defrauded equity holders should be exempted from personal income tax compensation.
According to Nilov, a corresponding bill was introduced.
The deputy noted: “Citizens who found themselves in this unpleasant situation approached us with a request,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
Accordingly, as the official indicated, the request was satisfied in the form of introducing a bill to the State Duma.
Tax exemption
As the authors of the initiative point out, a system of offsets could be created and approved to compensate for taxes already paid.
Thus, in particular, shareholders who have not yet received monetary compensation will be exempt from the need to pay taxes.
For those defrauded individuals who have already paid personal income tax, compensation payments will be provided.
According to Nilov, the initiative is intended to restore social justice in relation to people who have become victims of fraud.
