In Russia, they may start fining a legal entity for using the phrase “professional collection agency” in its name.
The State Duma Committee on State Building recommended that the chamber adopt the corresponding bill in the first reading.
The document proposes a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles for the illegal use of the above-mentioned phrase in a legal entity’s name, RIA Novosti reports.
The bill introduces fines into the Code of Administrative Offenses.
For illegal use of the phrase “professional collection agency” in the name of a legal entity, officials will be punished with up to 20-50 thousand rubles, and legal entities with up to 100-300 thousand rubles.
It is also proposed to impose fines for violating the law on communication between collectors and debtors.
In this regard, fines have been established from 50 to 500 thousand rubles for individuals, and from 100 thousand to 1 million for officials.
Fines may be imposed for failure to comply with decisions of executive authorities to limit methods of interaction with the debtor - from 50 thousand rubles to 300 thousand rubles.
