In the period from November 9 to 16, prices for some products in the Russian Federation increased sharply.
The so-called Teddy Bear Index, which tracks the price of 14 popular products, rose by 2.5%.
Details are reported by Gazeta.Ru with reference to the creator of the index, head of the laboratory for the analysis of institutions and financial markets at the IPEI of the Presidential Academy, Alexander Abramov.
The largest price increase was recorded for Fetaksa processed cheese – an increase of 12.5%, Oleina sunflower oil and carrots – by 11.5%.
The Teddy Bear Index list includes popular products, including Fruit-Tella and "Club-footed Teddy Bear" gummy candies, J-7 orange juice, cheap white bread, bananas, "Matias" herring, chicken carcass, "Akbar" tea, "Prostokvashino" butter, and others.
According to the October data in the Teddy Bear Index, prices for goods on the list increased by only 0.3%. And in September, the index grew by 9.3%.
