The Moscow City Duma has introduced a bill to the State Duma on the need to impose fines for advertising online sales of tobacco products.
It is emphasized that, according to the initiative, a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles should be imposed for legal entities for the specified offense.
The explanatory note states: “The dissemination of information about the remote sale of tobacco and nicotine-containing products on the Internet must be prohibited,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
For violating the ban, individuals will have to pay a fine of 3-5 thousand rubles.
As for officials, they will be required to pay a fine of 20-40 thousand rubles.

In addition, it is proposed to grant Roskomnadzor and Rosalkogoltobakkontrol the authority to draw up appropriate protocols on violations.
The specified bodies will be able to make decisions on attempts to violate the ban on advertising tobacco products.
The authors of the initiative noted that their bill is intended to reduce online sales of the above-mentioned product, which is harmful to human health.
