Russian experts have told by how many percent the Russian Federation's GDP will grow in 2024.
The forecast was shared by the Ministry of Economic Development.
According to the agency's estimates, the gross domestic product (GDP) will increase by 3.9% by the end of the current year, RIA Novosti reports.
This is 1.1% more than previously forecast. In April, growth for the year was expected to be 2.8%.
But now experts have assessed the new data and noted an increase in the rate of growth of the Russian economy.
In 2023, the country's GDP grew by 3.6%. The Ministry of Economic Development's forecast was 3.5%. In monetary terms, Russia's GDP reached 171.04 trillion rubles.
Vladimir Putin recently stated that the gross domestic product by the end of 2024 will grow more than the year before.
According to him, the national economy is developing steadily, but it is necessary to “strive for new frontiers.”
Earlier, Putin also emphasized that Russia continues to develop against the backdrop of unprecedented sanctions pressure from the United States and its allies.
At the same time, the West stated that it would continue to develop new packages of restrictions. But analysts note that each new package of sanctions is less effective than the previous one.
