Russia has taken another step towards establishing the circumstances and culprits behind the damage to gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea.
Pre-trial claims in the context of this case have been filed against Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland, RIA Novosti reports.
This is probably not the entire list. Similar claims may be made against a number of other states that may be somehow involved in what happened.
Zakharova explained why claims were made against these four countries.
The Nord Stream operator is registered in Switzerland. This country has not even attempted to conduct an investigation.
Denmark and Sweden are involved in this case because there was a terrorist attack in their economic zones. They conducted an investigation that did not yield any results. The work was subsequently curtailed.
Germany continues its investigation. The final point of the "SP" is in this country. But Germany has not yet shared the results of its work with Moscow, although two years have passed.
Russia is making various efforts in the context of establishing all the circumstances of the incident that occurred in the Baltic Sea.
