The agency warned Russians about scammers calling in its name.
Details were shared on the Rosfinmonitoring Telegram channel.
Potential victims are contacted by phone or messenger.
The scammers claim that criminals are allegedly trying to steal the money.
Fraudsters do everything to convince citizens of the truthfulness of their words, including sending photos of fake IDs.
Those who believed the scammers report to Rosfinmonitoring a request to grant “special powers” to an employee of the agency.
But these are still scammers who wait for a money transfer and receive it soon after.
Sometimes citizens send their own funds, and in some cases even the money that was borrowed.
Rosfinmonitoring reminded that the agency does not engage in such operations and does not contact citizens, especially in messengers.
Russians are urged to remain vigilant and not to fall for the tricks of telephone scammers.
