Oleg Osipov called rumors about the connections of Dmitry Medvedev's family with a large agro-industrial company "provocative nonsense."
The assistant to the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia warned that the Investigative Committee will take on those disseminating false information about the politician and his relatives.
Osipov emphasized that Medvedev’s family has no connection to the Miratorg holding, TASS reports.
He stressed that these are rumors that are not supported by any solid facts.
The politician's assistant pointed out that one could just as easily claim that tennis player Daniil Medvedev is related to the former Russian president.
Osipov added that those who disseminated this information should be held accountable: “Let the Investigative Committee sort out what happened.”
This is how Medvedev’s aide responded to information that has once again surfaced in the information space.
Back in 2019, some media outlets reported that Dmitry Anatolyevich’s wife allegedly had family ties with the management of Miratorg.
The Russian government, which was then chaired by Medvedev, denied these speculations.
Earlier, the heads of Sber and VTB were frightened by Elvira Nabiullina’s question about the key rate.
